Pastor E. A. Adeboye has taken time to advice singles on who to marry and who not to. Speaking during a youth/single program at the RCCG Headquarters during the week, highlighted to Youths present at the event some qualities to seek for before getting into marriage.
Pastor Adeboye’s advise for single men on finding a wife; “Don’t marry a girl simply because she can sing! In the choir, there are many people who can sing but are fallen angels! Marry a prayer warrior, if she can’t pray for 1 hour do not marry her,” he cautioned.
Don’t marry a girl who’s lazy, don’t marry a girl who can’t cook, she needs to know how to do house chores and cook because you cannot afford to be eating outside all the time.” he continued.
“Don’t marry a girl who is worldly, if you do, you have carried what you will worship for the rest of your life!”
He continued as he went on to advice single ladies, In his words “my beloved daughters do not marry a man who has no job. Before God gave Adam Eve, He gave him a job, He said, ‘this is the garden, keep it’. Ask any man who comes to seek your hand in marriage the kind of job he’s into.
If he tells you that he’s a contractor, ask him to show the evidence of all the contracts he has done. Because the contract he’s talking about is you! he wants to live you off! Don’t be a fool! If he has no steady income and if he has no job, don’t marry him!” He cautioned.
“A man is to provide for his house and not the other way round. If he has no income, he should not marry. Those who will not work should not eat.”
